Our Mission Is Simple: change the world for the better
- about us -
Founded in 2020, Castawide Inc is a 501(c)(3) charity located in Denver, Colorado. Thanks to our (generous) donor funded endowment we remain steadfast to our mission by supporting outstanding organizations and causes throughout the United States.
One day, the old man was walking along a beach that was littered with thousands of starfish that had been washed ashore by the high tide. As he walked he came upon a young boy who was eagerly throwing the starfish back into the ocean, one by one.
Puzzled, the man looked at the boy and asked what he was doing.
The young boy paused, looked up, and replied “Throwing starfish into the ocean. The tide has washed them up onto the beach and they can’t return to the sea by themselves,” the boy replied. “When the sun gets high, they will die, unless I throw them back into the water.”
The old man replied, “But there must be tens of thousands of starfish on this beach. I’m afraid you won’t really be able to make much of a difference.”
The boy bent down, picked up yet another starfish and threw it as far as he could into the ocean. Then he turned, smiled and said, “It made a difference to that one!”

a campaign for pollinators
We need pollinators to survive and bees are in danger! According to the Center for Biological Diversity, more than half of North America’s 4,000 native bee species are in decline, with 1 in 4 species at risk of extinction. That's real bad news as bees are essential to the health of countless ecosystems and pollination accounts for approximately 33% of the food we eat.
Thanks to our generous donors we are able to support The Bee Conservancy and the Karma Honey Project and have even adopted a bee.
a campaign for the climate
Climate change is real and reforestation is one of the simple things we can do to combat it.
Thanks to our generous donors we are able to support outstanding organizations like American Forests and the Arbor Day Foundation. To date Castawide has planted over 237 trees, but together we can plant 1,000,000,000,000!
a campaign for a wild and diverse earth
Our donors want those who come after us to inherit a world where the wild is still alive, which just so happens to be the mission of the Center for Biological Diversity.
